Working as a Freelancer

If you want to work on a contract through Skyline IT, we recommend you set yourself up as a Limited Company. By forming a Limited Company, you become the director and the major shareholder and then work for the company as an employee.

Alternatively you can work through an Umbrella companies which provides a specialist payroll service for contractors and removes their administrative burdens, such as the need to employ accountants and arrange contractor insurance. Umbrella companies issue invoices on the contractor's behalf, directly collecting payments from recruitment agencies, and then pays the contractor their net pay after tax
